Alison Crooks, LCSW is a mental health therapist at our Champaign at the Crossing clinic working with families and individuals of all ages.

Background & History

Alison received her Master of Social Work specializing in schools from UIUC. After working in schools for several years, she has witnessed the need for quality mental health services.

What it is like to work with Alison

Alison desires for clients to feel safe and to develop a trusting relationship. She accomplishes this with a person-centered approach where she provides a safe non-judgmental environment for clients to explore themselves honestly. Alison most often uses cognitive behavioral therapy, art therapy, sand tray, and play therapy models for clients who are seeking support in the following areas: ADHD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, chronic stress, trauma, and school issues/behavior.

In her free time, Alison enjoys yoga, cooking, and loving animals.
