Amanda Strawser MSW, BSW is a mental health therapist that works with all ages at our Danville clinic. She earned an Associates degree in social work from DACC and a BSW and MSW degree from Walden University.
Amanda especially likes supporting patients with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, stress, self-esteem through individual, couple, and family therapy. She does by building rapport with clients by establishing a strong sense of trust and care.
What it is like to work with Amanda
Amanda’s approach with clients includes cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy strategies with motivational interviewing and positive psychological techniques to assist clients in reaching their goals. She does not provide Christian focused therapy; however, she welcomes the discussion of religion if needed.
Amanda shares, “The principles and values of social work connect with my own values. I wholeheartedly believe in the good of everyone, and I feel that social work allows me to connect with, mentor and help others achieve their goals.”

When Amanda is not working she enjoys self-care and spending time with her twin daughters.
