Anna Strohl MA, LPC

Mental Health Clinical Supervisor

Anna Strohl MA, LPC is a mental health therapist at our Mahomet office. She became a therapist to support people in learning about themselves, to take control of their lives, and create the life of their dreams. In 2021, she received her Master of Arts from Northwestern University in counseling. 

History

Anna is a U.S. Navy Veteran, and has worked inpatient and intensive outpatient psych in a military hospital. Her extensive personal and professional experience in this area makes her an excellent fit for working with military veterans and their families. 

What It Is Like Working with Anna

Anna has a passion for supporting people work through trauma, healing childhood wounds, and improving their current relationships. She also enjoys working with couples, families, kids ages 12 and up, and individuals going through life transitions (graduating, starting new jobs, new family, empty nesters, etc.) She has experience working with clients with borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship difficulties, self worth concerns, etc. 

Anna’s Message to Clients

While working with clients she feels creating safety and trust is her number one priority. Anna states, “I believe we are a team, and I am here to support the clients in meeting their goals while learning about themselves and processing their experiences.” 

Anna is psychodynamically trained, and takes an eclectic, person-centered approach to therapy. She incorporates CBT, DBT,  trauma therapy, grief therapy, Gottman couples therapy and other modalities as needed, based on clients' needs and goals. Finally, Anna holds a certification as a Level 1 Rapid Rewiring Practitioner. 

Other Passions

When Anna is not working, she loves the outdoors, music,coffee and food. She also enjoys traveling, exploring, reading, and listening to podcasts.
