Casey C. McClain, MA, LCPC

Mental Health Therapist

Casey is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over a decade of therapeutic experience in substance use treatment, dual diagnosis, community mental health, crisis intervention, psychosocial rehabilitation and most recently school-based health.

She received her Masters Degree from the University of Illinois- Springfield in Human Development Counseling (Clinical Mental Health), and her Bachelors Degree from Eastern Illinois University in Psychology and Business Administration. She began her counseling career as a CADC, serving as a County Drug Court Treatment Provider as well as providing outpatient AOD/DUI/Risk Education services to others in her community.

Once becoming a licensed mental health clinician, her passion for treating those in recovery continued through her offering of Dual Diagnoses services. Her primary theoretical orientation for mental health counseling is that of Existential Therapy; focusing on development through the lifespan, personal responsibility, free-will, self-determination and one’s search for meaning and purpose. With that being said, Casey is competent in the use of an eclectic array of different therapeutic modalities. Casey is experienced in Person Centered, CBT, Mindfulness, Strength-based, ISF, ACT, faith-based services and others.

She presently holds certifications in Addictions-Informed Mental Health, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Complex Trauma Interventions, and Coparenting Mediation and has a strong familiarity with the treatment of both acute, as well as chronically pervasive mental illness (including though not limited to, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, trauma, grief, ADHD, addictions and more). Casey provides individualized psychotherapy for all clients ages 10-65.

In her free time, Casey enjoys spending time with her family, friends, boyfriend and little dog, Prilla. She strives to learn from all experiences and make new memories along the way. She enjoys attending her local church and believes in Gods Plan for us all. Casey can find enjoyment in a quiet afternoon spent at home, as well as through a day out full of adventure. She shares her love for dance and performing by teaching part time as a dance instructor at a local studio. In all, Casey is eager to find meaning in all that has been, and all that is still to come. She maintains the goal to provide all with empathy and support necessary for eliciting insight and choice.
