Dr. Jeff Schroder is a licensed physical therapist (PT, MPT, DPT) in the state of Illinois. He’s also certified in Dermal Fascial Restoration (DFR®) with nearly 22 years of clinical experience providing physical therapy services in the Champaign-Urbana community.

Education

He graduated with a Master’s in Physical Therapy from St. Ambrose University and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Des Moines University. His undergraduate degree is in both Biology and Chemistry from The University of Northern Iowa.

Dr. Schroder treats all ages of patients and employs a holistic approach to care that includes the mind, body, and spirit.

He specializes in one-on-one care tailored to each patient for their unique goals and expected outcomes using a varied and diverse model of manual therapy, exercise prescription, movement mechanics and neuromuscular interventions.

More specifically, he has nearly 22 years of experience using an innovative and unique soft tissue treatment—DFR, that has allowed him to help hundreds of patients maximize their physical therapy outcomes, improve overall performance, and address long-standing chronic pain and musculoskeletal issues.

Dr. Schroder has been an active member of both the state level (Illinois Physical Therapy Association) and the national level (American Physical Therapy Association) for over 21 years serving as a yearly representative to the State Assembly and most recently 6 years as the local District Secretary. He truly enjoys being engaged and active in his profession, and places a high value on his ability to promote professional advocacy, payer relations, member engagement, continuing education, private practice education and mentorship. Dr. Schroder is also an active community educator teaching continuing education classes to both physicians and physical therapy clinicians.

Away from the clinic, Dr. Schroder is very involved in fitness and spending time with his family. He loves to do CrossFit, golf and be outdoors exploring. When he is not busy with work or exercise, he loves to connect and grow together with his wife and two young children.
